Hamza Ali Siddiqui is the founder and editor of CelebGrid. Every celebrity profile on the site passes through his hands, from deciding who to cover to checking the numbers behind each net worth estimate.

Why he started CelebGrid

Look up almost any famous name with the words “net worth” and you’ll find the same figure copied from page to page, with no explanation of where it came from. Hamza started CelebGrid to fix that. His idea was simple: if a number is going to be published, readers deserve to see how it was reached.

How he researches a profile

Hamza builds each profile from the ground up. He starts with the money that is on the record: reported contracts and salaries, tour and box office figures, prize money, business deals and property sales. Then he looks at what gets taken away, such as taxes, agent fees and legal costs, before comparing the result with estimates already published by business outlets.

When those estimates disagree, he shows the range and explains which end the evidence supports. When there is no reliable figure at all, especially for private family members of famous people, he says so instead of guessing.

What he covers

  • Actors and actresses, from Hollywood stars to rising television names
  • Athletes across the NFL, NBA, football, tennis, golf and combat sports
  • Musicians, TV hosts, news anchors and media personalities
  • Entrepreneurs, authors and comedians

His standards

  • Every estimate is labelled as an estimate.
  • Key figures link to the outlet that reported them.
  • No private addresses, no rumours presented as fact, and no profiles of minors.
  • Profiles are updated when something real changes: a new contract, a big sale, a new role.
